Patrick Smyth - Managing Director

Mr. Smyth is the founder of iSmartCheck™, and oversees the day to day operations as well as the strategic planning of the company. Mr. Smyth was one of the original investors in MyECheck Inc., through which the iSmartCheck™ Check 21 software is managed, and has a unique insight into financial processing after spending years as a customer.

He also has extensive experience in venture capital start-ups, including taking various entities public through M & A’s, RTO’s and new listings.  Well traveled and with an international outlook, Mr. Smyth has worked for the last fifteen years as an international business consultant, developing corporate structures and advising companies seeking to fund large projects. 

Mr. Smyth has a history in wanting to better the planet, including being the recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award, being a founding shareholder of Naturally Advanced Technologies Inc. and co-founding Clean Goal LLC. Patrick spends as much time as he can outdoors, is a member of the Surfrider Foundation and makes conscious efforts to being part of the solution from the simple act of promoting ‘catch & release’ to investing in new technologies that profit both the environment and the pocket-book.

Mr. Smyth was born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, graduating from St. George's Boys School and then attending the University of British Columbia graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Kathryn Kozak - Director of Operations

Ms. Kozak is responsible for all operations and integration of new merchants, she also is responsible for the internal and external marketing for iSmartCheck™.

Ms. Kozak has a number of years experience include the building of infrastructures and management of private and public companies; specifically in high technology industries.   Her broad experience also covers the fields of eCommerce, Database Management, interactive Gaming, Financial Processing, Telecommunications, Interactive Marketing and Online Advertising. 

Prior to joining the Company, she was Managing Director of Wiremix Interactive Media, Founder & President of Eclipsicom Media Inc. and Vice President Business Development & Sales at NextLevel.com Internet Productions Inc.

Ms. Kozak attended Carleton University and received a Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Law & Psychology.  She also has a Diploma in Internet Marketing from the University of British Columbia, a Diploma in Public Relations from Algonquin College and Marketing Communications Diploma from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. 

Jason Falovitch – Director of Sales

Mr. Falovitch is responsible for the overall Sales strategy at iSmartCheck™ and leads our sales team from Toronto, Canada.    He is also responsible for the management of our valued Resellers and ISO’s. Mr. Falovitch’s mission is to act as consultants to our clients and individually tailor innovative payment services and technology to achieve their corporate goals.

Mr. Falovitch is also a founder of PayLinked, a full service payment processing company with applications for merchants including credit cards, check 21, ACH and Prepaid Cards.   Mr. Falovitch was formerly vice president of sales for a boutique internet marketing firm, where he managed sales strategies across the North American marketplace. With years of sales experience, Mr. Falovitch dynamic sales career includes a focus on customer care, financial processing, and ecommerce business development.

Mr. Falovitch was born and raised in Toronto,  graduating from York University (Toronto) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and an International Business Management Degree from the Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology.

Jeff Lipinski – Senior Account Manager

Mr. Lipinski is responsible for key accounts at iSmartCheck™ and works in our Toronto office where he has a passion for developing solutions from client briefings through to the underwriting process, managing our clients through all stages of the cycle and launch to market.  

Mr. Lipinski is a founder of PayLinked, a full service payment processing company with applications for merchants including credit cards, check 21, ACH and Prepaid Cards.   Mr. Lipinski has a number of years experience to include the building of client bases and management long terms sales cycles; specifically in eCommerce industry. Mr. Lipinski was formerly director of sales at an eCommerce aggregator, where he was responsible for the management and integration of multiple clients across varying industries. 

Mr. Lipinski’s believes in the “Three E’s” – it is his goal is to provide our customers with simple solutions that are Easy, Efficient and Effective.

Mr. Lipinski was born and raised in Toronto, graduating from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Marketing and a Business Management Degree from the Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology.

Stephanie Leventis – Manager of Underwriting

Ms. Leventis is responsible for the Underwriting Process at iSmartCheck, and works with our numerous banks to get the best rates possible for our clients. 

Ms. Leventis’ underwriting process consists of evaluating the risks, associated with allowing a merchant to accept eCheck through a detailed analysis of the applicant's credit history and the business' previous processing history. It is her job to make sure that applicants are responsible entities, because, in effect, a merchant account processing service is a form of credit.

Ms. Leventis previously worked at Ocean Eclipsa Inc. managing the day to day operations in their Costa Rican Office. Ms. Leventis was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, attending the University of South Carolina at Upstate.  She is currently adding to her education at the University of Phoenix on a part-time basis.
